Home Depot Sees Gains in Smaller Projects Amid Slumping Housing Market
Home Depot reported improved sales during its fiscal second quarter as customers shifted focus to smaller projects during the summer months.
The company's revenue increased to $47.86 billion, surpassing Wall Street expectations of $47.24 billion according to a survey by FactSet.
The uptick in sales comes despite the U.S. housing sector remaining mired in a slump, which has had a negative impact on Home Depot's outlook.
