Home Depot Supports Veterans with Special-Edition Bucket Fundraiser
The Home Depot is launching a special-edition bucket to support its $500,000 pledge to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The donation aims to honor the legacy of September 11 and help those who have sacrificed for their country.
Since 2011, the partnership between The Home Depot Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has generated over $26 million in grants and built more than 130 mortgage-free smart homes for severely injured veterans and supporting families of fallen heroes. The special-edition buckets will be sold in stores and online at homedepot.com, with $1 from each sale going directly toward The Home Depot's business-side donation.
'Our partnership with The Home Depot is built on a shared commitment to supporting our nation's heroes,' said Frank Siller, chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. 'This special-edition bucket gives our customers a simple way to join us in honoring the legacy of September 11 while helping ensure those who have sacrificed for our country receive the support they deserve.'
