Home Depot Surpasses Q2 Expectations on Smaller Home Projects
Home Depot's second quarter results exceeded expectations as net earnings reached $4.77 billion, up from $4.55 billion in the same period last year. Comparable sales rose 1.7%, driven by smaller home projects and DIY endeavors.
The company's adjusted operating income was $7.02 billion, a significant increase from $6.69 billion in the previous quarter. Home Depot reaffirmed its fiscal 2026 guidance, forecasting total sales growth of 2.5% to 4.5%, with comparable sales expected to range from flat to 2%.
The company is introducing Express Delivery across the US, allowing customers to receive eligible products within three hours or less for a flat fee. This service aims to provide rapid fulfillment to both Pro and DIY customers without requiring a subscription or membership.
