Home Depot's giant 12-foot skeletons have become an internet sensation since their debut in 2020, and this year they're back with a new deluxe version. The classic Skelly is available for $299, while the app-controlled Skelly has animatronic moving head and mouth, 20 different eye effects, and Bluetooth capability that allows users to talk through the skeleton using built-in voice-changing effects.
The company calls the 2020 debut of its giant skeletons a turning point that changed its Halloween business. Since then, people have been dressing up their skeletons in various costumes for different seasons, and this year there are two Skelly options to choose from.
This is not just about the new Skellys; Home Depot has expanded its Halloween offerings, with many items available online. However, customers are advised to act quickly, as popular items can sell out fast, especially in smaller markets like Lubbock, Texas, where some items have already started appearing in stores.
