Home Depot Volunteers Renovate Local Veteran's Home

Local volunteers have completed an extensive home renovation for Air Force veteran Robert 'Bob' Motsinger, thanks to a joint effort between Home Depot and the American Legion.

The project, which cost $20,000, took two months to complete. Volunteers replaced windows and trim, painted the house, installed new sliding glass door, built a deck, and added a portable air conditioner.

Motsinger served in the Air Force's Strategic Air Command from 1962 to 1966. Home Depot has a program where they select two local projects each year to support their communities, according to Dudley Loomis Post 6 of the American Legion.
