Home Depot's AI Assistant Now Offers Personalized Guidance in Stores
The Home Depot has expanded its AI shopping assistant, Magic Apron, to include localized store knowledge. This allows customers to quickly find items, ask product-specific questions, and get project advice while shopping in-store.
Magic Apron is available in all of the company's over 2,000 U.S. locations through the retailer's mobile app or by scanning a QR code on signs in stores.
The tool was first introduced in March 2025 as a suite of generative AI tools designed to respond to customers' questions and refine search results. Since its debut, Magic Apron has responded to millions of questions every month.
