RHP Brent Honeywell Jr., a former Dodgers fan favorite, has agreed to join the San Diego Padres organization. He had pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2024 season, earning a spot on the postseason roster with an impressive 2.62 ERA across 18 appearances.

Honeywell's role was crucial in helping the team save their best arms for higher-leverage spots during the World Series run. However, he did not pitch at all in the 2025 season and had signed a Minor League deal with the San Francisco Giants earlier this year before being released.

Now, he will join the Padres for his second stint with the organization, having previously made 36 appearances for them in 2023 with a 4.05 ERA.
