Honeywell Stock Drops as Strong Q1 Performance Fails to Impress
Honeywell International Inc., a US industrial conglomerate, saw its stock price slip on August 28, 2026, by 1.34% to $217.43. This decline comes despite the company's strong first-quarter (Q1) performance in 2026.
According to Q1 numbers, Honeywell reported an adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.45, representing a 11% year-over-year increase. The segment margin also expanded by 90 basis points to 23.3%. Orders rose 7% organically, while the backlog increased by 15%, and segment profit advanced 6%.
The company's Aerospace segment remains a key area of focus for investors, particularly in light of the planned spin-off. Despite mechanical supply chain constraints in Aerospace, the segment still contributed to the overall earnings growth.
