Honeywell Tech Sees Improved Prospects After Cost Pressures Ease
Honeywell Technologies has been facing challenges from high operating costs and expenses in recent quarters.
The company's total cost of sales rose 7.2% year over year to $6.07 billion in the second quarter of 2026, while research and development expenses increased by 14.2% to $524 million.
Honeywell Technologies' operating margin declined 50 basis points to 12.8% in the second quarter, primarily due to rising direct and indirect material costs and increased labor expenses.
However, following the separation of its Aerospace business in June 2026 and the divestiture of certain businesses, Honeywell Technologies is poised for improvement.
