Honeywell Technologies Aims to Skill 3 Lakh Students in Emerging Tech by 2030

Honeywell Technologies has announced a major skilling commitment in India to equip over 3 lakh students with future-ready capabilities in AI, cybersecurity, sustainability, and advanced technologies by 2030. The initiative is part of its flagship program, Saksham, which aims to bridge the gap between industry demand and talent readiness.

The company has partnered with several institutions, including IIT Bombay, BharatCares, Ladli Foundation, and FSID-IISc, to deliver large-scale skilling programs. The partnership will impact 3 lakh students across India, focusing on areas such as AI, data, cloud, and cybersecurity.

Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell Technologies India & APAC, said, 'India's growth and competitiveness depend on how effectively we bridge education and employability at scale.' He added that Saksham is designed to create stronger linkages between education, skills, and employment, with a focus on delivering measurable, long-term impact.

The initiative includes various programs such as IIT Bombay, Honeywell Technologies Centre of Excellence for Future Skills & Innovation, Honeywell Technologies Future Skills Edge, Saksham School Transformation Program, Startup Incubation and Innovation Support, and Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme. These programs aim to equip students with skills in AI, cybersecurity, sustainability, and other emerging technologies.

The company's philanthropic arm, Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), will implement the Saksham initiative to expand access to quality STEM education, drive inclusive and sustainable growth, and build a pipeline of future-ready talent aligned with evolving industry needs.
