Honeywell Technologies Upgrades Marine Corps Barracks Access Management with LenelS2 OnGuard
Honeywell Technologies has modernized barracks access management for the U.S. Marine Corps worldwide through its LenelS2 OnGuard access control system.
The deployment supports the Barracks 2030 initiative, a centralized and scalable platform enhancing security and operational efficiency.
Before the initiative, access control systems varied across Marine Corps installations, with many facilities relying on standalone locks requiring manual updates and limited visibility into access activity.
The new system leverages a government-provided cloud instance to remotely manage access permissions, monitor activity, and maintain a consistent security framework globally.
The program began with a pilot deployment at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina, meeting technical and operational objectives ahead of schedule.
