Honeywell UK Workers Ballot for Strike Over Pension Cuts
Hundreds of workers at Honeywell's UK operations in Clitheroe and County Durham are being balloted for strike action over cuts to their pension schemes.
The dispute began after US company Honeywell acquired Johnson Matthey Catalyst Technologies in July, with many workers seeing employer pension contributions drop by nine percent.
Sharon Graham, general secretary of Unite, said: 'These workers were lied to, plain and simple.'
Honeywell's clients, including major companies such as BP, Shell, Equinor, and thyssenkrupp, could be affected by the potential strike action, which could disrupt operations at projects like H2Teeside and H2H Saltend.
