Honeywell's Saksham Initiative Aims to Skilled 3 Lakh Students in India by 2030

Honeywell Technologies has announced a major skilling commitment in India to equip over 3 lakh students with future-ready capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, sustainability, and advanced technologies by 2030. The initiative, called Saksham, aims to bridge the gap between industry demand and talent readiness in the country.

Honeywell Technologies has already transformed the lives of 13+ lakh beneficiaries over the last 10 years through its education programs, making it more inclusive and future-focused. To deliver large-scale skilling programs, the company is partnering with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, BharatCares, the Ladli Foundation, and the Foundation of Science, Innovation and Development.

The key skilling programs under Saksham include IIT Bombay, Honeywell Technologies Centre of Excellence for Future Skills & Innovation, which will reach over 1 lakh undergraduate students across the country through expert-led courses in five tracks. Additionally, Honeywell Technologies Future Skills Edge aims to train 2 lakh students in AI and cybersecurity through hybrid, project-based learning.

The initiative also includes school transformation programs, innovation-led interventions, startup incubation, and internships for underprivileged students. Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell Technologies India & APAC, said, 'India's growth and competitiveness depend on how effectively we bridge education and employability at scale.'
