Honeywell's Stock Lags Behind Dow as Aerospace Spin-Off Fails to Boost Confidence
Honeywell International Inc. (HON), a large-cap stock with a market cap of $68.9 billion, has been underperforming the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) in recent months.
The company's HON stock is down 18.3% from its 52-week high of $261.24 touched on March 2 and has declined 14.7% over the past three months.
HON has been trading below its 200-day and 50-day moving averages since August, indicating short-term bearish momentum.
The company recently completed the spin-off of its Aerospace Technologies business and raised its adjusted EPS target to $7.90 to $8.30 for the full year, but the market did not react positively to the split, leading to a 6.8% decline in its stock value on June 29.
