Huang Sees Cybersecurity as Next Major AI Use Case
Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang predicts that cybersecurity will be the next major use case for artificial intelligence. During his remarks at the Goldman Sachs Group Inc. technology conference in San Francisco, Huang stated that advances in AI technology are set to disrupt the cybersecurity industry.
Huang explained that AI automation of computer programming is affecting the cybersecurity sector due to the speed at which code can be exploited and requires fixing. He emphasized that this disruption will create a new market for Nvidia's products.
The CEO also addressed concerns about potential market distortions in the new technology sector, citing his company's ability to identify fundamental customer demand. Huang highlighted that he only invests in companies with 'sure things', noting that potential investment targets must already have customers lined up.
