Huang Warns Against 'Single Worst Outcome' of Being Left Behind in AI

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently addressed G20 leaders at an innovation ministerial in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He emphasized that countries should prioritize building AI infrastructure to support their local economies, just as they would with electricity, roads, and internet.

Huang argued that local AI infrastructure provides researchers, students, startups, and industries with the necessary computing power for product development and business growth. He warned that not taking advantage of AI could lead to a country being left behind, which he called 'the single worst outcome.'

The Nvidia CEO also pushed back against calls for broad AI restrictions, suggesting that regulation should focus on measurable risks rather than hypothetical scenarios.
