Hutchinson Blue Dragons Crush Cisco College in Season Opener
The No. 2 Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons dominated Cisco College in their season opener on Thursday night, scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter and winning 59-7.
Hutchinson had a strong performance on both offense and defense, piling up 552 yards of total offense while limiting Cisco to just 116. The Blue Dragons finished with 312 yards passing and 240 rushing, scoring touchdowns with all three quarterbacks who saw action.
JB Price opened the scoring with a 45-yard touchdown run less than three minutes into the game, and Randy Phillips added a 6-yard touchdown run before Price scored again from 4 yards out to give Hutchinson a 21-0 lead with 3:36 remaining in the first quarter.
The Blue Dragons' defense was equally impressive, allowing just six first downs and 53 rushing yards. They recorded five sacks for 53 yards in losses and held Cisco to 1 of 13 on third-down conversions.
