Hynix Pledges Billions in Additional Shareholder Returns
SK Hynix Inc., a South Korean memory chipmaker, has announced plans to follow up its recent $29 billion stock buyback program with additional shareholder returns worth at least $130 billion over the next two years.
The company's decision to lift the ceiling on returns is seen as a positive move by analysts. SK Hynix is now pledging more than half of its cumulative free cash flow from 2025 to 2027, up from 'up to 50%' previously.
This development has sparked excitement among investors and analysts alike, with JPMorgan Chase & Co. noting the potential for significant returns for shareholders.
