IBM and Lockheed Martin Launch Quantum Innovation Hub at ETH Zurich
IBM and Lockheed Martin have partnered to establish a quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. The hub will be anchored by Switzerland's first IBM Quantum System Two, which will be powered by an IBM Quantum Nighthawk processor.
The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre at ETH Zurich will host the IBM Quantum System Two, expanding access across Swiss institutions to fuel the country's quantum ecosystem, research and workforce education.
As part of the collaboration, two joint development projects between IBM and Lockheed Martin are planned. One project aims to explore quantum sensing applications for navigation, while the other focuses on improving additive manufacturing of metallic alloys.
