IBM and Vivant Join PBSP Board, Strengthening Leadership
The Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) has welcomed new trustees from IBM and Vivant Corporation, strengthening its corporate governance and leadership. Leo L. Capinpin, Country General Manager and Technology Leader of IBM Philippines, brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector and IT services to the table.
Capinpin leads business strategy, sales, and technical functions at IBM, and has been a long-standing partner in advancing education and workforce development in the country. The company has been a founding member of PBSP since its inception.
In addition to Capinpin's appointment, Emil Andre M. Garcia, President of Vivant Corporation, has also joined the PBSP board as trustee representing members in the Visayas. He assumes the chairmanship of the Visayas Regional Committee and brings with him a wealth of experience in infrastructure development, having led investments across various segments of the power value chain.
PBSP extends its gratitude to outgoing trustees Aileen Judan-Jiao and Jose Antonio 'Tonio' Y. Aboitiz for their invaluable contributions and leadership over the years. Judan-Jiao served as IBM's representative on the Board from 2018 to 2026, while Aboitiz represented Davao Light and Power Company, Inc. and led several development initiatives, including relief efforts for communities affected by typhoons and flooding.
