IBM Expands AI Network in India with New Vizag Centre
IBM has expanded its AI network in India by opening a new FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam. The facility will provide services in artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering, and data analytics to global clients.
The centre was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh and IBM India and South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel. The new facility is part of IBM's plan to strengthen its technology delivery network as businesses increase spending on AI and digital transformation.
IBM selected Visakhapatnam due to its growing technology ecosystem, skilled workforce, and strong educational institutions. The centre will focus on AI-first cloud transformation, platform engineering, quality engineering, and user experience services.
The addition of the Vizag facility brings IBM Consulting's total number of FutureNow Centres in India to 15, further expanding its AI and cloud consulting capabilities to meet rising enterprise demand.
