IBM Partners with MEBIS as Title Sponsor for AI-Powered Banking Innovation Summit
IBM has partnered with the Middle East Banking Innovation Summit (MEBIS) as its title sponsor for the 17th edition, set to take place in Dubai on September 16-17, 2026. The summit will bring together over 400 banking leaders and delegates from across the region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, and Jordan.
The event will focus on AI-powered banking innovation, with IBM highlighting its expertise in enterprise AI, hybrid cloud, data, and automation. The company aims to help banks deploy AI responsibly, securely, and at scale, moving beyond experimentation towards tangible action.
According to a global IBM CEO study, banking and financial markets CEOs expect AI to make nearly half of operational decisions without human intervention by 2030. Shukri Eid, General Manager for IBM Gulf, Levant, and Pakistan, stated that 'the banking conversation has moved beyond whether to adopt AI to how it can be deployed responsibly and at scale.'
