IBM Returns to Visakhapatnam with New AI-Focused Hub
IBM has reopened its operations in Visakhapatnam, India, with the launch of its IBM Consulting FutureNow Centre. The new facility will provide consulting and technology services to global clients across AI, hybrid cloud, software engineering, data and analytics, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation.
The centre will operate with over 500 professionals, bolstering Visakhapatnam's growing IT and tech ecosystem. It will also serve as a hub for AI-first cloud transformation and services, platform engineering, service integration, quality engineering, and user experience services.
IBM Consulting now has FutureNow Centres across 15 locations in India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mysore, Noida, Pune, and Visakhapatnam.
IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the centre in the presence of IBM India & South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel and other Andhra Pradesh government officials. Lokesh expressed his vision for making Visakhapatnam a global hub for AI, digital services, and technology-led innovation.
