IBM Teams Up with OpenAI to Revolutionize Enterprise AI
IBM has announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI to accelerate secure AI deployment for enterprises. This collaboration will see IBM's consulting services integrated with OpenAI's frontier models, including GPT-5.6, Codex, and ChatGPT Work.
The two companies have launched a dedicated OpenAI Practice within IBM Consulting, staffed by thousands of certified consultants and engineers to support the initiative. This practice will target key sectors such as financial services, government, telecommunications, and retail, as well as enterprise finance and human resources domains.
IBM's partnership with OpenAI has earned it a spot in the Elite partner tier under the framework. The joint go-to-market partnership aims to position IBM to deliver AI solutions to large organizations seeking to deploy advanced AI capabilities across their core operations.
