IBM Malaysia has partnered with Biji-biji Initiative (BBI) to provide free AI and digital skills training to 41,000 students, youth, and adult learners across Malaysia by the end of 2026. The initiative is supported by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as part of IBM's broader collaboration with MyDigital Corporation under the Rakyat Digital initiative.

The programme combines IBM SkillsBuild's free AI and digital learning resources with BBI's community reach and industry engagement. It will focus on two talent development tracks: one for high school students introducing AI fundamentals, and another for TVET learners and adult workforce participants in areas including Agentic AI, software development, and web development.

The partnership aims to strengthen Malaysia's technical and vocational education and training (TVET) talent pipeline and improve access to digital career opportunities. IBM said the collaboration contributes to its global commitment to equip 30 million people with skills by 2030, including two million learners in AI by the end of 2026.
