Icelandair Bids Farewell to Aging Boeing Jets
Icelandair's Boeing 757 and 767 fleet is coming to an end. According to schedule plans, the last flights have been locked in for the beginning of 2027. This marks not only the end of an era but also a chance to give these classic Boeing jets a proper send-off.
The Boeing 757's retirement has been brought forward to the peak of the 2026/27 winter season, with its last scheduled flight set for January 6, 2027. The jet will continue to serve cities such as Amsterdam and London until it exits service over time, with Amsterdam's last flight from Keflavik occurring on December 11, 2025.
The Boeing 767-300ER is the last remaining Boeing workhorse still in service, representing an era departing. The jet will be phased out on January 6, 2027, after its last scheduled mission from Keflavik to Boston. Before this final flight, operations will taper off across Europe and North America.
