An IIT Gandhinagar startup has made waves at the Boeing Build national finals. Oreejoy, founded by Prof Uttama Lahiri and others, took home a Rs 10 lakh grant for its AI-powered wearable device.

The device, which includes a smart insole that uses advanced pressure sensing and artificial intelligence to analyze walking patterns, has already shown promise in helping people with Parkinson's disease. It provides personalized sensory cues to aid walking, with potential applications in neurological rehabilitation and gait monitoring.

The competition received over 2,000 applications nationwide, with 28 startups shortlisted for the finals and seven awarded grants across different categories.
