Illinois Secures Caterpillar Sponsorship Deal for $30 Million Plus
The University of Illinois has secured a multi-year corporate sponsorship deal with Caterpillar Inc. The agreement, facilitated by Learfield, will see the company's logo displayed on the 25-yard lines at Gies Memorial Stadium.
Caterpillar employees work in Illinois, and the company's headquarters were previously based in the Peoria area before moving to Deerfield in 2017 and then Irving (Texas) in 2022.
This is the second major corporate sponsorship with a company having deep in-state roots announced by Illinois in the last two months. The deals help the university compete in the Big Ten as roster costs continue to rise.
