Illinois Signs Multi-Year Sponsorship Deal with Caterpillar Inc.
The University of Illinois has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Caterpillar Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction equipment. The partnership, facilitated by Learfield, will see Caterpillar logos displayed at the 25-yard lines of Zuppke Field at Gies Memorial Stadium.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it marks the second major corporate sponsorship for Illinois athletics in recent months, following a five-year, $30 million pact with Busey Bank to become the school's first jersey-patch sponsor.
According to Learfield president Kim Damron, 'Josh and his team at Illinois Athletics have significant momentum right now, which is opening the door for incredible opportunities with new brand partners.'
