Imdelltra Combos with Imfinzi Deliver Breakthrough Results in Small Cell Lung Cancer
Amgen's cancer immunotherapy Imdelltra (tarlatamab) has shown significant promise in treating small cell lung cancer (SCLC), especially when used as a dual regimen with AstraZeneca's Imfinzi (durvalumab).
A recent study, DeLLphi-305, found that the combination of Imdelltra and Imfinzi led to statistically significant improvements in overall survival, progression-free survival, and objective response rate compared to Imfinzi alone.
The trial involved patients with extensive-stage SCLC (ES-SCLC) who had not progressed after standard induction therapy. The results suggest that Imdelltra could move into the first-line setting for SCLC treatment, which would be a significant breakthrough in the field.
