Imdelltra Shows Groundbreaking Survival Benefit in Small Cell Lung Cancer Trial
Amgen and AstraZeneca have announced groundbreaking results from their Phase 3 DeLLphi-305 study on Imdelltra, a treatment for small cell lung cancer.
The trial met its primary endpoint at an interim analysis, demonstrating a significant improvement in overall survival when used in combination with Imfinzi (durvalumab) versus durvalumab alone.
Imdelltra, also known as tarlatamab-dlle, targets DLL3 on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells, activating T cells to destroy cancer cells. This is the first Phase 3 study featuring a Bispecific T-cell Engager therapy to show an overall survival benefit in oncology drug development.
The safety profile of Imdelltra with Imfinzi remained consistent with each individual medicine's known profiles, with no new or unexpected safety signals identified.
