Indeed Shifts Towards AI-Driven Hiring Solutions Amid Strong Pricing Power
Recruit Holdings, the parent company of job search platform Indeed, made a strong case for its hiring business at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026. Chief Executive Hisayuki Dekoba emphasized that Indeed is shifting away from simple job ads and towards AI-driven hiring solutions.
This shift is helping the company charge more for qualified candidates, even as it faces slower job posting growth and regulatory complexity. Dekoba noted that in the U.S., average revenue per job (ARPJ) rose 35% despite a 4% decline in job postings, demonstrating stronger pricing power.
The company's take rate remains below 1%, leaving room for further monetization if Indeed can continue to deliver value. Dekoba also highlighted the demographic shift in the U.S., where the labor force is expected to lose 6 million workers over the next five years due to aging and retirements, creating a structural shortage that should support hiring platforms.
