India Lifts Ban on JPMorgan Unit After $311,230 Payment
India's Securities and Exchange Board has lifted its trading ban on Copthall Mauritius Investment Ltd., a unit of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
The lifting of the ban comes after the firm deposited 29.6 million rupees ($311,230) in a bank account to comply with an order by India's market regulator.
Copthall was accused of market manipulation in an August interim order related to trades in the closing auction session on the BSE on Aug. 13. The firm deposited the alleged unlawful gains last month along with Mansi Share and Stock Broking.
