Indonesian Youngsters Break into Digital Careers with AI and Cloud
Two young Indonesians are breaking into digital careers despite facing challenges and limited resources. Muhammad Yusuf Fadhel Marwiji, from Makassar, studied forestry and developed an interest in technology through his work with spatial data. He used machine learning to analyze environmental factors and identify flood-prone areas.
Yusuf's experience sparked a new understanding of how technology can be applied to real-world problems. With the help of Microsoft Elevate Training Center, he gained a more structured understanding of machine learning and AI, which he believes has the potential to revolutionize geospatial work.
Emejleano Rusmin Nggepo, also known as Lano, from Tangerang Regency, was initially hesitant to pursue a career in technology. However, after being introduced to Microsoft Fabric and Azure through the Dicoding platform, he began to see cloud technology as a way to overcome device limitations.
Lano's experience with GitHub Copilot has also significantly impacted his coding process. The AI-powered assistant helps him provide contextual code suggestions, allowing him to focus more on concepts and logic rather than writing every line from scratch.
