IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix Secures Major Sponsors Amid Celebrations
The IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix, promoted by former US President Donald Trump, has secured several major sponsors for its inaugural event on August 21. The new backers include Boeing, SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service, and Delta Air Lines, among others.
Bud Denker, chair of the 250-mile (402-km) race and president of Penske Corp, stated that 'this is an opportunity for us to grow our sport and showcase it to these companies that were never part of our sport.'
The event aims to celebrate the 250th anniversary of US independence. Trump will wave the green flag at the start of the race and take a lap around the course in his presidential limousine.
