Intel Surges on Pricing Power and AI Demand
Google's (GOOGL) stock price jumped on Tuesday, but it was Intel's (INTC.US) that stole the show, rising by around 9% despite a 0.6% decline in the S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US). Analysts point to a recent CPU price hike report and an upgrade from a major analyst as immediate catalysts.
However, investors are increasingly focused on a larger trend: Intel may be gaining pricing power, AI demand, and foundry momentum all at once. This could mark a significant shift for the company.
The news comes as Google announces plans to invest at least €13 billion in AI infrastructure in Finland between 2027 and 2028, part of its efforts to expand its data centers and energy projects.
