Intuit Shifts Strategy with 'J Curve' Approach to Drive Long-Term Growth
Intuit, a financial and tax software provider, has unveiled a strategic reset at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026. The company's CFO, Sandeep, emphasized the need to balance continued scaling of its strongest businesses with a renewed push to win more first-time customers.
This shift in strategy comes after several years of heavy investment in upmarket expansion, fintech tools, and assisted tax services, which now generate growth of over 30% per year and account for nearly 30% of the company's revenue.
Intuit aims to achieve durable double-digit revenue growth and high-teens earnings growth in fiscal 2027 by prioritizing entry-level customer acquisition. The company is adopting a 'J curve' strategy, which involves accepting lower near-term revenue in exchange for stronger long-term customer value.
