IPO Market Surges Past $250 Billion in 2026, With Jumbo Deals on the Horizon
The IPO market is entering a new era, with over $250 billion raised this year. According to Bloomberg data, Wall Street bankers predict a robust pipeline of IPOs and other equity offerings through the remainder of 2026.
Arnaud Blanchard, co-head of global ECM at Morgan Stanley, expects IPO activity to accelerate in the third quarter. He noted that while Q4 is typically a constructive window, some volatility may occur around the midterm elections, resulting in second-half activity being front-loaded into Q3.
JPMorgan Chase's global head of private capital advisory and solutions, Keith Canton, expects a dozen jumbo IPOs in the second half of 2026, with companies raising $1 billion or more. These companies have outgrown M&A as an option and are now turning to public markets.
