Iran Targets Amazon Data Centers in Retaliatory Strike
The Iranian military has reportedly attacked and damaged two Amazon data centers in Bahrain using cruise missiles. The attack is seen as a retaliatory measure against the US, which has been involved in a war with Iran since February.
The Iranian state media outlet Tasnim published a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, claiming that the attacks were carried out in response to 'aggression and assault' by the US on civilian facilities.
Bloomberg confirmed the attack using images from the European Space Agency's Sentinel-2 satellites, but noted that it is difficult to determine the extent of the damage. Amazon refused to comment on the matter.
