IronPigs' Winning Streak Snapped by RailRiders
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs suffered their first loss in three games on Thursday night at Coca-Cola Park, falling to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders by a score of 5-1.
The RailRiders took an early lead in the fourth inning with Tyler Hardman's two-run homer, and doubled it in the fifth on J.C. Escarra's two-run single.
Anthony Volpe added to the lead in the sixth when he doubled home a run, making it 5-0 for Scranton.
The IronPigs were finally able to get on the board in the eighth inning, but it was too little, too late as Elmer Rodriguez earned the win for the RailRiders with seven scoreless innings of work.
