J.G. Petrucci Plans Data Center Near Coca-Cola Park Amid Regulatory Uncertainty
A developer is seeking to build a data center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at 1024 N. Bradford St., just behind Coca-Cola Park's shadow.
The proposed facility, measuring 146,000 square feet, will be the second data center in the city after Quantm Group filed plans for a quarter-million-square-foot facility on Emaus Avenue in May.
J.G. Petrucci Company submitted its proposal this month, but Allentown officials are uncertain about which version of the new data center ordinance to apply, due to the pending ordinance doctrine's unclear application after a 2022 Commonwealth Court ruling.
