Jaguar Land Rover Joins UK's Global Talent Visa Programme
Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover has been added to the UK government's expanded fast-track Global Talent visa programme, which allows more than 100 research-intensive companies to directly support applications from top scientists and engineers. The move aims to strengthen Britain's global innovation footprint.
Under the expansion, eligible research-intensive businesses can now sponsor researchers, making it easier for them to attract global talent for cutting-edge projects in Britain. This includes companies such as IBM and AstraZeneca, alongside universities and higher education institutions.
The Global Talent visa is a premier research-focused immigration route designed for exceptional scientists, engineers, and researchers from around the world, including India, to work on funded research projects in the UK. Indians are already among the top three nationalities benefiting from the programme, with over 700 visas granted so far.
