Jeju Air Crash Families Sue South Korea, KAC, Jeju Air, Boeing Over Deadly Disaster

The families of victims from the Jeju Air crash at Muan International Airport in South Korea are taking legal action against several entities. On December 29, 2024, a lawsuit will be filed against the state, Korea Airports Corporation (KAC), Jeju Air, and Boeing.

The law firm One has been selected as the representative for the families, who plan to file the suit within the two-year statute of limitations set by the Montreal Convention. The convention governs airlines' liability for passenger deaths and injuries during international air carriage.

Law firm One previously represented the families in suits against the state over the Sewol ferry disaster and the Itaewon crowd crush, where 28 people lost their lives. The firm plans to uncover the truth behind the crash and secure compensation for the victims' families.
