Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Diversion to Paris En Route to Ibiza

A Jet2 flight from London to Ibiza made an unexpected diversion on Sunday morning. The Boeing 737-800, registered as LS1473, transmitted a squawk 7700 code, indicating a general emergency, and turned towards Paris Charles de Gaulle airport in France.

The plane diverted approximately an hour and a half into the journey, landing safely at Paris Charles de Gaulle at 10.49am local time. Emergency services were positioned on standby to meet the aircraft.

The flight later continued its route to Ibiza, departing from Paris at 12.51pm local time and arriving on the Spanish island at 2.33pm.
