Jets Safety Andre Cisco Sees Preseason Competition as Opportunity

Andre Cisco, a safety for the New York Jets, has been competing with Dane Belton and others for a starting job. After four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cisco signed a one-year deal with the Green & White but suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Week 8 of last season, ending his year. He re-upped with the team this year.

Cisco has been playing well, including an interception in the Jets' preseason victory at Pittsburgh. Defensive coordinator Brian Duker says Cisco and Belton are similar players who do a good job covering deep areas of the field and tackling.

Cisco welcomes the competition, saying finding a role within the team is more important than beating someone out. He believes it's all about confidence and visualizing success.
