JNJ Reaffirms Dividend Commitment Amid $21B Free Cash Flow Guidance
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) reaffirmed its commitment to returning capital directly to shareholders, primarily through its dividend.
CFO Joe Wolk told analysts that capital allocation priorities remain unchanged: investment in commercial launches and future innovation will take precedence, with acquisitions being an enabler of growth but not a requirement for meeting near- and long-term objectives. The company's commitment to the dividend comes with real cash behind it, with year-to-date free cash flow totaling approximately $8.7 billion.
The quarter's operating results back up this guidance, with worldwide sales reaching $25.3 billion, up 6% operationally, and the company raising its full-year operational sales growth outlook to a midpoint of $100.6 billion.
