JNJ Scores CE Marking Win with ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week Contact Lens
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has won CE Marking for its new reusable contact lens, ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week. The innovative lens features proprietary MAX technologies designed to provide superior comfort and visual clarity even at day 14. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company as it prepares to roll out the product in select European countries later this year, with a wider market rollout planned for 2027.
According to Johnson & Johnson, globally, around 140 million people wear contact lenses, with one in two choosing reusable lenses. The leading priority for these patients is comfort, which can be compromised due to the increasing use of digital devices and exposure to blue-violet light, leading to reduced visual clarity and dryness symptoms.
Jacqueline Henderson, Company Group Chair, Vision, MedTech, Johnson & Johnson, stated that people who choose reusable contact lenses should not have to sacrifice comfort or clarity as their days get busier and their eyes work harder. With ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week, the company is bringing its advanced ACUVUE technologies to a reusable lens, helping more people see clearly and feel comfortable throughout the full two-week wear cycle.
