JNJ Wins CE Marking for ACUVUE OASYS MAX Contact Lens
Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) has secured CE Marking for its new reusable contact lens, ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week. This innovative product is designed to provide superior comfort and visual clarity, even after two weeks of wear. According to the company, it will be rolled out in select European countries later this year, with a wider market rollout planned for 2027.
With 140 million people worldwide wearing contact lenses, and one in two opting for reusable lenses, comfort remains their top priority. The increasing use of digital devices and exposure to blue-violet light has placed added demands on patients' eyes, leading to reduced visual clarity and dryness symptoms. ACUVUE OASYS MAX 2-Week addresses these evolving needs by bringing Johnson & Johnson's advanced MAX contact lens technologies to reusable wearers.
According to Jacqueline Henderson, Company Group Chair, Vision, MedTech, Johnson & Johnson: 'People who choose reusable contact lenses should not have to compromise on comfort or clarity as their days get busier and their eyes work harder.' JNJ shares rose by 26 cents to $267.33 following the announcement.
