JNJ's Robotic Bronchoscopy Platform Gets FDA Clearance for Key Software Update
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has obtained FDA clearance for MONARCH QUEST 3, an update to its MONARCH Platform for robotically assisted bronchoscopy. The new software improves planning, navigation, and targeting capabilities, particularly in complex procedures.
The MONARCH Platform is a flexible, robotically assisted bronchoscopy system that provides continuous visualization throughout procedures. MONARCH QUEST 3 enhances the platform's ability to account for anatomical changes during bronchoscopy, incorporating Polyphonic for MONARCH, an open digital ecosystem developed by Johnson & Johnson.
MONARCH QUEST 3 also introduces AI-powered nodule segmentation and a new 3D Compass overlay that improves visual orientation. The software is designed to support clinicians in detecting lung cancer early.
