Johnson & Johnson CEO Sells $13M Worth of Shares Amid Insider Selling Spree
Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) CEO and Chairman Joaquin Duato has sold $13 million worth of shares at a price of $258 per share, reducing their holding size by 14%. This is not the first time Duato has sold shares in the company; they also sold $22 million worth earlier this year at $221 per share.
The recent sale suggests that Duato may have considered the lower price to be fair, raising questions about their view on the current valuation. However, insider selling is only a weak signal and does not necessarily indicate a negative outlook for the company.
In fact, Johnson & Johnson insiders sold more than they bought over the last year. While this might seem concerning, it's worth noting that high levels of insider ownership can be beneficial to shareholders as it increases the chances that management is thinking about their best interests.
